ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

Sacred Heart is a Roman Catholic Parish School supported by the Archdiocese of Chicago’s Office of Catholic Schools. We are home to a diverse population of 155 students PK-8th grade with a student/teacher ratio of 17:1. While many of our families live in the Vet’s park area, several families reside on the East Side of Chicago and travel from NW Indiana. Our certified teachers use the Illinois Common Core Standards for instruction and assessment. Our mission is to provide a quality education with a lived holistic faith experience through the development of the student’s spiritual, academic, social/emotional and physical potential, enabling the student to accept responsibility and practice kindness as a steward of God’s gifts.
